Welcome to the Gameful Journals!
First off, an important note. Gameful journals are not workbooks.
Gamers might work hard and give their best in the games they love playing. However, they don’t consider it hard work. They enjoy playing the games they love and do so with innate, unforced excellence.
Thus, these standalone gameful journals are not about working hard in the traditional sense. They are about playing games and getting to know yourself better at any given moment in the process.
The gameful journals include real-life game descriptions, your feedback systems or score sheets, and your personal leaderboards in the self-motivational games they introduce.
A self-motivational game is a real-life project or activity that you approach and adapt so it feels like a fun game, one you are eager and happy to engage with, in its design, development, and play.
So, when you turn a project or activity into, or, in other words, consider and approach it as a fun game or a collection of games, your motivation and drive to design, develop, and play it become readily accessible resources. Doing something extra to motivate yourself becomes redundant.
Gameful journals provide space — a safe space — to record your progress in the self-motivational games of your choice and also give you space for your notes to document your experiences, as well as adjustments to the respective games’ design to your liking and enjoyment.
Gameful Journals are:
- The Effortless Perseverance Game Journal
- The Awareness Booster Game Journal
- The Gratitude Game Journal
More are coming.
